1. Check your website:
When planning a website, it’s tempting to think about it as a one-time project: get the coding and design right, launch the site, and then move on to other projects. But if you want your site to succeed over time, you must keep working on it. Maybe you’ll make updates every week, month, or year—but the point is that a website doesn’t launch and then lives on in perpetuity. 3. Update URL every time:
By now, you’re probably familiar with the concept of keywords and the importance of using them in your content. But did you know that the meta description is just as important? If not, then your business is lacking its main ingredient. It’s often one of the first things people read when looking at search results, and it can help sell a visitor on clicking through to your site. For one thing, Google decides which snippets to display for a given search term based on a combination of factors, including how relevant and descriptive the meta description is. Here’s an example: Let’s say someone types “organic cotton” into Google. This keyword phrase has a 13.76% search volume, so it’s reasonable to assume that this person is looking for organic cotton products.
4. Keyword in URL:
Did you know that keeping the keyword in the URL is important? There are two reasons why it’s a good idea to include your keyword in your URL.
First, search engines will rank your web page higher when the keywords that matter to searchers are included in the URL. For example, if you own a yoga studio and have a web page describing the yoga classes you offer, it’s wise to include your target keyword in the URL. It is because search engines will read the URL and determine what is on your web page. If you do not include relevant keywords in the URL, search engines may not be able to determine what your web page is about correctly.
The second reason it’s wise to include your keyword in your URL is that people can find your website using search engines by simply typing in your target keyword in the search bar. For example, if you were running a travel blog and you wanted to attract more readers from Google searches for “travel blog,” then it would make sense to include “travel blog” in the root of your website address — www.myblog.com/travel-blog — so that people can easily find and access your travel blog using this simple Google search: “travel blog.”
5. Do not stuff too many times keyword:
Keyword stuffing is placing unnaturally keywords into your content to fool search engines and rank for those keywords. At first glance, it may seem like a good idea because the more you use the keyword, the higher you’ll rank for that keyword. However, this isn’t how search engines work.
Keyword stuffing can lead to many adverse effects on your web page’s SEO.
First, search engines can see through your attempt at ranking for a specific keyword, which can hurt your site’s rankings in the long run. Search engines want to give their users relevant information in their search results, and they don’t like it when they see websites that try to manipulate rankings like this. They’ll either demote your site or lower your site’s rank on a specific keyword.
Another reason keyword stuffing isn’t good is that it looks terrible to users if you stuff too many keywords into a sentence or paragraph. It also makes it look like you’re only interested in SEO rather than creating valuable and engaging content for your readers/visitors.
6. Value proposition:
One of the most overlooked elements of e-commerce is establishing a value proposition for each page of your website. Each page should have a goal aside from just ranking for a particular term. As an example, let’s take an imaginary company selling jewellery. We might have a landing page that tells a story about the company’s philosophy and how they use only the finest precious metals and stones in their products. Then we could have another page with more product information and some high-end jewellery on display. Another page could direct people to where they can buy our jewellery online, while another could drive them to sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media.
For each page, we need to define its goal and how it supports it. If the goal is to sell jewellery, we might want a call to action that tells people to buy now or sign up for our mailing list. We’d want a video of beautiful jewellery so customers know what they’re getting into when they click through to buy. For the social media goals, we might have links to our Facebook pages, or Twitter feeds so they can follow us there.
When you have these answers, you’ll know your target keyword and how to optimize for it. The value proposition is also an excellent way to determine whether your content will help searchers find what they’re looking for or if it’s just a listicle or other piece of fluff that doesn’t solve their problems or satisfy their interests.

7. Target audience:
When defining your target audience, think of a single buyer persona or multiple personas. Keeping this persona in mind as you optimize your site’s pages will ensure that they’re compelling and relevant. It’s easy to forget that search engine robots are not humans, and you must also optimize your site for humans. Your target audience might be a potential customer who is new to the world of computers (perhaps a technophobe or senior citizen), or it might be the CEO of a company specializing in widgets who needs to know where to find extra information on how to buy widgets. On your site, different types of people may be looking for different information from your business — make sure that you make all visitors happy!
